Call out for Festival Volunteers

Call out for Festival Volunteers

Louder Than Words Festival is back for a fourth year in Manchester and we are looking for volunteers to help deliver the weekend festival from Friday 11th – Sunday 13th November at The Palace Hotel, Manchester.

Featuring talks, workshops, in conversations, performances and panel discussions, this high quality literary festival celebrates words – oral, written and published – associated with the music industry.

There are some significant names still to be confirmed at this stage, but already signed up for 2016 are the band Thunder, launching their first ever book ‘Giving The Game Away – The Thunder Story’ and playing live; as well as Wolfgang Flur from Kraftwerk, Kristin Hersh from Throwing Muses flying in from the States, Brix Smith Start from The Fall, Steve Ignorant and Penny Rimbaud. We are also delighted that after the death of David Bowie, the last surviving Spider from Mars, Woody Woodmansey, will be joining the line-up.  Louder Luminary, the author Zoe Howe, will be back to talk about her work, alongside key authors such as Barney Hoskyns, Matthew Collin and Mick Middles, taking part in numerous panels and Q&As.

We have a variety of exciting volunteer roles available including Front of House, Stage Managers, Artist Liaison, Social Media Assistants and AV Assistants.

In return for your time, you will receive a full weekend pass giving you a chance to enjoy the Festival events across the 3 dates.

If you are interested please fill in the application form by Friday 21st October.
