John Reed

Having worked for most of the 1990s as a music journalist with Record Collector magazine, as well as writing for the likes of Mojo and penning the Paul Weller biography My Ever Changing Moods, John joined Castle Communications in 1998 to run their Sequel label, eventually running their Special Markets division overseeing such iconic labels as Trojan Records. Since 2008, he’s worked for Cherry Red Records wearing many hats, including the curation of several well-received genre box sets such as the award-winning Scared To Get Happy. He is currently the company’s Operations Manager.
