with Ian Clayton.
Saturday 10 Nov | midday
Eliza Carthy is steeped in the English Folk tradition. Her mam Norma Waterson is possessed of perhaps the greatest of all English voices, her dad Martyn Carthy was a major infuence on the young Bob Dylan and Paul Simon. Eliza carries on the family business and is at the vanguard of the rekindled interest in Folk and Roots music at home and abroad. She describes herself as a “modern English musician.”
Join Eliza in conversation with the writer Ian Clayton (Bringing it all Back Home), who also happens to be a family friend. Expect astonishing stories about music from now all the way up to music hall, plenty of belly laughs and not a little fiddling.
What a treat in store we have for you!
