Heath Common

Heath Common is a music journalist, songwriter (Hi4Head records), music publisher (H4H Music), broadcaster and poet. He was previously a headteacher at an inner-city secondary school in Manchester. As a journalist, he has written extensively about The Beatles and he cites the day he once spent with Mike McCartney touring the city of Liverpool meeting the people “involved with The Beatles before The Beatles broke big” as being one of the most fascinating assignments of his journalistic career. In addition, Heath Common has worked with many of the surviving figures of the Beat movement and he regularly interviews Simon Warner at festivals and events around the country with regards to Simon’s books about the Beat culture.
