Designer, Curator, Broadcaster and Author Steve Rowland became hooked on subcultures as the Mod revival and 2 Tone exploded across the UK in 1979 and since then has never been involved in music related capers. An early career in Graphic Design led him to design record sleeves for labels including Memphis Industries, Creation Records, Heavenly Recordings, Sony, EMI, Well Suspect and Pressure Sounds to name a few.
In the 90s Steve toured with many bands around the globe before moving on to promoting club nights, gigs, exhibitions, film screenings and book readings in Brighton, DJ for bands including Saint Etienne and Buzzcocks, curate exhibitions instore with Fred Perry across the country. Alongside writing books Steve broadcasts a monthly show on Totally Wired Radio.
Steve co authored the book Modzines, fanzine culture from the Mod revival, with Eddie Piller and still spends too much time being a Rude Boy.
